Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions

• Customer: any individual or company using the platform to find IT help.
• Engineer: any independent professional advertising services through the platform.
• Service: all features, content, and applications offered at FindITPros.com.

2. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter contracts. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

3. Role of FindITPros

We provide a marketplace to connect customers and independent engineers. We do not employ engineers, guarantee their work, or become a party to any engagement between users. Engineers alone are responsible for their qualifications, insurance, and compliance with any regulations or tax obligations.

4. Engineer Subscriptions & Fees

Engineers must maintain an active subscription (currently $1/month via PayPal in USD) to remain visible in search results. “Verified” simply indicates an active subscription. All fees are non-refundable unless required by law. We may change prices with reasonable notice sent to the email on file.

5. Customer Use & Payments

Customers do not pay FindITPros for hiring engineers. Any fees for work performed must be negotiated directly with the engineer. Customers are responsible for conducting due diligence, agreeing on scope, and paying engineers off-platform.

6. Messaging, Reviews & Content

• Messages should be professional and related to legitimate work inquiries.
• Reviews must describe genuine experiences and may be moderated for abusive, discriminatory, or false content.
• By uploading content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to display and distribute it in connection with the Service.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to misuse the Service—for example, by harassing users, spreading malware, scraping profiles, misrepresenting identity, or attempting to reverse engineer our systems. Violations may lead to suspension without refund.

8. Intellectual Property

The FindITPros logo, branding, and platform code are our intellectual property. You may not copy, resell, or create derivative works without written permission, except as allowed by law for interoperability.

9. Privacy & Data

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data. By using the Service you consent to those practices, including the use of cookies and analytics tools described there.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or reliability of any engineer or customer, nor do we promise that the platform will be error-free or uninterrupted.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FindITPros shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service will not exceed the amount paid to us by you in the twelve months preceding the claim (or $25 if no fees were paid).

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold FindITPros harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your interactions with other users, or your violation of these Terms.

13. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales. Before filing suit, please contact us so we can attempt to resolve the issue informally.

14. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Service after we publish changes means you accept the revised Terms. We will provide notice for material updates via email or an in-app message.
